Papa and Evan time

The 1st Wickstrom snowman of 2008

Our hard working shoveler...he's available for hire...advantages: he's cheap, but-

disadvantages: he takes a lot of breaks!

So Thankful...

We hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving. We spent the long weekend with my parents and got to see my aunt Jan and my uncle Bud. My cousin Cinde was up from Indianapolis with her husband Brad and their two boys. Caleb is three months older than Joshua and Ian is one month older than Evan.

You gotta' love 'em!

Hope these bring a smile to your face!

More milestones...

Joshua is proudly pedaling his bike around the neighborhood now...just in time for winter! We might have to bundle up and ride in the garage :)

And Evan had his 4month check-up and weighed 14lbs 6oz and was 24 and 1/4 inches. All looked great and so we started eating good old rice cereal. So far, so good. It doesn't get real interesting until we start veggies!

P is for Potty....

The latest news...

Yesterday, surprisingly, we started potty training. We are just following his lead and we don't know how long it will take, but so far, so good. He won't potty if his diaper is off, so we have a naked little boy running around the house (thank goodness it's been warmer this week!)
It's so cute...all you see are his adorable 'cheeks' go flying across the room and sit on the potty chair, then a big smile on his face and he's asking for "m's" (M & M's)
Wish us luck and hopefully we will have one more thing to be "Thankful" for this Thanksgiving...one kid out of diapers :)

Brothers?!?!?

At first, I thought they were going to really look similiar. Their newborn hospital pictures were so much alike, it was eerie. Now, as Evan is getting bigger, I am realizing that they are looking different. But, they both love snuggling with their "Mookie" bears (Thanks Mike and Cathy!) and both look cute as can be in the Bumbo seat (Thanks Aunt Sue and Uncle Jim!)

Happy Halloween!

Hope everyone had a great Halloween! For the first time in four years, it wasn't raining and cold for trick-or-treating. Joshua (the owl) did really well and made it around almost the whole neighborhood and Evan (our peapod) went along for a few blocks, then he got hungry, so we took him back to Grandpa and Grandma Wickstrom. They stopped for the weekend on their way down to Florida for the winter and got to spend lots of time with the boys.

A trip to Klackle's...

We went to Klackle's Orchards in September with TJ's parents, sister Michelle, and our nephew PJ, when they were down for Evan's baptism. Joshua had a blast and we had a beautiful day to enjoy the festivities.

...and on the 8th day God made "soy formula"

Well, it only took 10 weeks for us to figure out that Evan must be sensitive to lactose. He got a bottle of soy formula on Sunday and we now have a new child! Why we didn't try it earlier, I don't know! The whole Wickstrom family is now a lot happier :)

Peek a Boo!

This is what was looking at me when I walked back into the living room after putting Joshua to bed...love the "spiky-asian hair!"

2 months old!

We went for Evan's 2 month check-up and he's doing great. He weighs 10 lbs 5 ounces and is 22 inches long. He's sleeping a few six hour stretches at night and we're trying to get into a fairly regular schedule. Joshua is still my great helper and loves being with Evan!

"Fussy Pants Mcgee"...

This is our nickname for our second born. I thought that the second time around was supposed to be easier, but as you can tell from the common theme of the following pictures...not so much. He's not the sleeper that Joshua was and spitting up is a new thing for us. He is very happy being held, but put him down and watch out--he can go from content and quiet to mad and screaming in 0.9 seconds! His 2 month check-up is next Tuesday and we are going to see if he has reflux, colic, is lactose intolerant, or just crabby!
