Back from the U.P.

Over Memorial Day weekend, we went up the da' U.P. for Daddy's 10+1 year high school reunion. I got to swim in the pool and spend time with Auntie Chell and P.J. On Sunday, Grandma and Grandpa Wickstrom came over for the day to visit. I had a lot of fun climbing up the stairs, riding up and down in the elevator, and I got to have "Riverside Pizza" for the 1st time ... YUMMY!

Things are settling down after the big week of the birthday bash. I had my one year check-up and I weighed 24 lbs and was 30 and 1/2 inches long. I'm still in the 75th percentile for both height and weight, but I am slowing down now that I am walking and moving around. I started taking my first steps right before we traveled to Wisconsin to visit friends in Sheboygan, Todd, Tina, James, and baby Caden and then up to Park Falls to stay with Uncle Paul, Auntie Chell, and P.J. for a few days. I am now toddling all over and love spending time outside. We are going up north over Memorial Day for Papa's class reunion and so I'll get to see Grandma and Grandpa Wickstrom and Auntie Chell, Uncle Paul, and P.J. again. I can't wait...I'll get to have my first U.P. sauna! I'm waving "bye-bye" right now to you all! XOXO, Joshua

I'm 1!!! Look out!!!!!!!!!

My 1st Birthday party was so much fun! We had it on my actual birthday (Sunday) and the weather was nice and sunny out! We had about 38 people here to help celebrate and I got some new books, clothes, and toys, toys, toys! I loved my cake and I was so glad that everyone could be here with me...thank you! :)

Almost 10 months old already!!!!!!!

My 9 month appointment with the doctor went well. I weighed 23lbs 5oz and was 29 inches long. I am crawling everywhere and getting into everything! I am also cruising the furniture. I am eating "big people" food and enjoying every morsel. We took a trip to Wisconsin for papa's cousin Heidi's wedding. I got to meet more family and see Auntie Shel, Uncle Paul, and P.J. I also went in the pool for the first time! It was like a giant bathtub and I splashed around and had so much fun.

I'm Unique!

I found out that I have a "fused" or "twinned" tooth! My bottom left incisor came in the second week of December and then about 2 weeks later, a funny-shaped tooth started coming in right next to it. We thought it was my 3rd tooth, but as it came up, we realized that it was attached to the 2nd tooth! My pediatrician said it's not a big deal. I'll probably lose it and my permanent tooth will be normal. How crazy is that?! I have my 9 month appointment in a few weeks, so I'll let you know how big I am! Bye bye, I have some crawling to do, furniture to pull myself up on, and Simon to chase!

Look out World!!! I'm on the loose.....

It's official! I'm crawling and getting into everything I shouldn't. Simon's toys actually motivate me the most. I don't know why mama doesn't want me to put them in my mouth...Simon can, why can't I? The baby gate is up and the dog dishes are in a different spot and I'm going to work on this baby fat. Catch me if ya' can!

HAPPY 2007!

Hello everyone! We hope that everyone had as wonderful a holiday season as we did. 2006 was a blessed year for us and we are looking forward to 2007 as Joshua keeps growing, learning, and keeping us on our toes. Our Thanksgiving and Christmas were spent in Sturgis with my parents and we had such a fun time with Joshua. He just takes everything in and is so good traveling. Santa was wonderful to all of us. We got: an I-pod, Oakley sunglasses, perfume, clothes, toys, books, DVD's, CD's, money, gift cards, tasty treats, oh yea...and did I mention toys!?!?! At least we didn't have to rent a U-haul :) We rang in the New Year at a neighbor's home and Joshua slept through all of the chaos...whew!
Our little boy is growing and learning so much. He weighs about 23lbs and is so solid. He just turned 8 months on December 29th and is growing out of some of his 12 month clothes! The prospects of him playing football for Ohio State is looking better every day. His 2nd tooth finally broke through on the bottom on December 11th (2 months after his 1st bottom tooth came in) and then the day after Christmas I noticed that a 3rd tooth on the bottom is in!
He is so close to crawling that Wednesday we have to make the trip to buy a baby gate for the stairs. He can roll all over the place and crawl backwards and is into everything he shouldn't be into (especially the remote, the phone, CD's, kleenex, etc) He's eating a few solids (bananas, mashed potatoes, and he just tried a few bits of macaroni and cheese tonight).
He had his 1st overnight stay with my parents on December 9th while we went to a Christmas party. He did great and TJ and I took advantage and slept in until 10:00! It was so nice!
