2 Month Wellness Exam

Today I had my 2 month check-up and I weigh 13 pounds and I'm 22 and 1/2 inches long! My doctor told mama and papa to give me a little rice cereal in my bottle at night to keep my tummy happy longer. I was such a big boy and cried only a little bit after the four shots in my legs...mama didn't cry too long either :) I am smiling more and more every day and love looking around at all of the stuff I will be able to get into soon. My legs are strong and must constantly be moving and when I do "tummy time," I can push myself around on the blanket. As soon as I figure out what to do with my hands...Look Out! All is well with mama and papa and I'm getting ready for my baptism in a week. I can't wait to meet for the first time my Aunt Mel, Uncle Paul, Uncle Lucas, and cousin P.J. who are traveling to celebrate!

Happy 1st Father's Day!

Our first family picture taken at the wedding in Gaylord, MI. Joshua slept through the ceremony and then long enough through the reception for mama and papa to eat. Then we danced and enjoyed the rest of the celebration! He did great for our first over night trip.

Almost 7 Weeks Old...

Hello everyone! I'm really excited because we are getting ready to go on our first overnight trip. Saturday we are headed to Gaylord to a wedding and I can't wait! I have been more alert and looking at so many things. Bathtime is not as horrible as it used to be and I am trying to sleep for about four hours at a time. I am still growing like a weed and eating well. I'll let you know how much I've grown in two weeks after my 2 month wellness exam. That's all that's new here...until next time.

Stinky face!!
Fun times in the bathtub...NOT!!
This is more of my idea of fun...hanging out on my exercise mat!! It makes all sorts of noises and I love to look at myself in the mirror above me. (I am quite a looker!)

Joshua had his 1 month wellness exam on Tuesday. He weighed 9 lbs 9 ounces and was 23 inches! Dr. Rzeszutko said that he was doing great and to keep up the good work. He did have to have his 2nd hepatitis shot, which he did pretty well...I was ok too. Over Memorial Day we had friends over for a cookout and Joshua got to hang out with some people his size.

This was one of his professional pictures taken when he was 6 days old. His godparents, Tim and Rachel Todish, had the photographers come to the house as a gift to us. We are picking out favorites for the announcements...

Here is Mimi and Grandpa Poffenberger spending time with me...I am one lucky little boy!

Grandma Wickstrom also gave me lots of love during my light therapy.

Here I am snoozing on my photo therapy light with Grandpa Wickstrom...I'm under the blanket :) Luckily, I only had to do the therapy for about a week for my jaundice.

BREAKING NEWS!!!
Last night as we were doing some "tummy time," Joshua rolled over from front to back! I was so shocked. At first I didn't believe it. I decided to try it again to make sure it wasn't just a fluke. Sure enough, he looked at me and slowly rolled onto his side, then shifted his weight and moved his feet and was on his back again. Hard to believe being only 17 days old...

He's here!!!

Joshua Thomas arrived on Saturday April 29 at 10:08pm. He weighed 7lbs 8 oz and was 20 inches long. He had jaudice for the first week, but is doing well now. He is now 16 days old and we are all doing great.
